Zucchini

Zucchinis belong to the pumpkin family and are rich in nutrients, especially in the season from June to October. It is low in calories, contains a lot of water and provides important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, potassium and magnesium. This combination aids digestion, has a hydrating effect and fits perfectly into a balanced diet. 

Its fibre promotes healthy bowel function, while the high water content relieves the body and makes zucchinis an ideal vegetable for light, fresh dishes.  

Their versatility also contributes to a healthy diet: It can be steamed, roasted, fermented or even enjoyed raw - and always remains mild and digestible.

Good to know

Zucchinis are a vegetable that can do an amazing amount: It is light, versatile, rich in nutrients - and that is precisely why it is a staple ingredient in many healthy cuisines. Their mild nature makes them a chameleon on the plate, while their insides are full of small health benefits. 

With an average tolerance limit, around 65 g is a good amount to test out.
