Sugar labeling

Frusano provides detailed information on the fructose, sucrose and sorbitol content of every product.

The generic term "sugar" used in ingredient lists not only refers to granulated sugar, but to the sum total of all types of sugars. Frusano products predominantly contain sugars such as dextrose and maltose.

Regulations regarding food labeling require that the detailed nutritional information indicated on packaging must contain the sum of all sugar types, declared under the generic term "sugar," even though the product may contain many different types of sugar. Glucose, fructose, sucrose, and maltose are all called "sugar."

All of Frusano's product labels and ingredient lists provide detailed information about the different sugar types present in our food, such as glucose, fructose, sucrose, maltose and lactose.
