Mulled wine
Recipe for delicious low fructose mulled wine – quick and easy.

Our Frusano DIY Do-it-yourself: hot wine punch kit with red wine with all the ingredients that are necessary to make your own tasty mulled wine.
Ingredients:
- 750ml (1 bottle) Zweigelt Red Wine - tested for histamine content from Weingut Weiss
- 250ml Frusano Red Currant Syrup
- 150ml Water
- 5 tsp. Spice-Mix for hot wine punch - organic
- Frusano Corn Sugar
Preparation:
- Put 0,75l Zweigelt Organic Red Wine , 0,25l Organic Red Currant Syrup and 0,15l water in a pot.
- Add 5 tablespoons of this spice-mix (use an tee ball if you have one, otherwise you need to filter it later).
- Add as much Organic Corn Sugar as you please to sweeten the punch (taste it beforehand, the Red Currant Syrup could give enough sweet).
- Heat it and let it stand with low heat for about 15 minutes (don't boil it!). Afterwards (!) season it with a splash of lemon juice.
Tip: Replace Organic Zweigelt Red Wine with Trinity Red Wine - tested for histamine content (it makes the mulled wine a bit more intense)
Alternative for a white mulled wine:
- Instead of Organic Zweigelt Red Wine -> use Organic White Wine Welschriesling white wine - histamine tested or Grüner Veltliner white wine - histamine tested from Weingut Weiss
- Instead of Organic Red Current Syrup -> use Frusano Elderflower Syrup
Ideal for decoration: cinnamon sticks and star-anise.
