Heart waffles
With our Frusano Fruit Spreads, these egg-batter waffles taste twice as good! A favorite sweet treat for big and small!

Ingredients for the batter:
- 125g softened butter (lactose free if necessary)
- 90g Frusano Corn Sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- A pinch Salt
- A few drops vanilla extract
- 250ml milk (lactose free if necessary)
- 200g flour
- 50g corn starch
- 4 egg whites, beaten until stiff
Additional Ingredients:
- Fat or Oil for the Waffle Iron
- Fruit Spread, for example Frusano Red Currant Spreador Frusano Sea Buckthorn Spread
- Whipping cream (lactose free if necessary), sweetened with sweeteners from Frusano if necessary.
Directions:
- Mix together the butter, Frusano Organic Corn Sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until foamy.
- Add the milk a bit at a time, sifted flour, and corn starch to the other ingredients. Finally, gently fold in the whipped egg whites.
- Preheat and grease the waffle iron. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the batter in the waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat until all the waffles are cooked.
- Serve the waffles with a fruit spread from Frusano and whipped cream.
