Lemons and limes provide crucial acitidy that refines salads and sauces for light meats, fish, soups, vegetables, desserts and cocktails. A splash of lemon or lime juice also prevents browning of sliced fruit and makes for a great meat tenderizer. The aromatic peel of untreated citrus is often used as seasoning, too. These are just a few reasons for why Frusano to use limes in our products! Good to know

Limes, the little sister of the lemon, are cold-sensitive and thrive in warmer climates. They contain less vitamin C than lemons, but more calcium, potassium and phosphorus. Persian limes are another great varietal – with a tough peel, light green pulp, and only a few seeds. In general, limes are smaller than lemons, with a stronger, more tart flavor.
