Low-fructose Fruit Spreads from Frusano
Everything began with fruit spreads in 2006. Our first products were made in our founder's home kitchen: Fruits naturally low in fructose, such as red currants, with glucose and preserved in Weck jars.
We still use Weck jars - only their form has changed. Our selection has grown too, and grape sugar has been replaced by glucose syrup: Glucose syrup also contains a high amount of glucose, but the maltose content makes it taste better: Its sweetness is more harmonious and it doesn’t tend to crystallise. It is also tolerated just as well as pure glucose, as maltose is simply a chain of two glucose molecules.
Our fruit spread range without fructose
The classics are Raspberry, Red Currant and Strawberry-Rhubarb. Give something new a try, too: Calamansi brings a fresh, citrusy taste to your table and is our lowest-fructose spread. Tayberry is an exotic berry and has an interesting flavor which lies somewhere between raspberry and blackberry.
